I bought my husband a set of kettlebells for Christmas, and I’ve been using them. I really did buy them for him, not me, but after I tried them I thought they were kinda fun, and Scott says that me working on a killer body is a fantastic Christmas present, so… I’m trying Kettlebell Cross Fit.

If you’re not familiar with kettlebells, my un-researched understanding is that they were invented in Russia by welding a handle onto a cannonball. The basic method of using them is that you swing them. This forces you to stabilize your core muscles while giving your quads a killer workout (mine currently hate life a lot). But you can use kettlebells for a lot of other things like Turkish Getups and most weightlifting maneuvers, but since the weight isn’t balance nicely like on a barbell, they force you to work stabilizer muscles as well.

Tomorrow is my day off of working out, and I’m sooo excited about it. But I’m actually sort of enjoying myself with these workouts, so I’m also ready for Wednesday when it’s time for 21-15-9 Sumo-Deadlift-HighPull and Push Presses!
