Hyperion by Dan Simmons is a good one.
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke is also an excellent but lengthy tome. Worth the effort though.

Hm. That's odd. My little italics tag made the whole darn sentence that way.

Me not so goodly with the html-speaking.

Apparently.

You do seem to meet the most <i>fascinating<i> people, dear. My mother was that way. She just attracted them somehow. Occasionally they came home for dinner.

I FINALLY SAW CAPTAIN AMERICA THIS WEEKEND!! YAY!! It was so very good. I really enjoyed it. Hugo Weaving is just MWAH! so good at being evil. And about 3/4 of the theater waited 'till the end of the credits to see the preview.

I cannot BELIEVE we have to wait 'till next summer for The Avengers... (sitting in corner, rocking self, drooling)...

Oh, silly -- he's *supposed* to look twelve! (giggle!) This is all part of his trip through innocence. The silly open-sided hoodies they have him wearing, with the shorts that don't fit right and sag below the belt line, and the shorter haircut... it's all for effect. I've been chuckling at everything they're doing to make him look like a tweener. He's such a dork right now.

"I had a bad dream. Can I sleep in here with you?" (eye roll and giggle) ;-p

Cannot WAIT to see the Avengers trailer... EEEP!! I'm totally geeking out...

Exciting stories of daemons and angels and other paranormal creatures, like the characters themselves, have been around forever. I think it’s safe to say that genre will continue indefinitely. Maybe not as popular at times as it has been lately, but, like the South, it will rise again in the future. Especially with authors like yourself writing the stories!
