Synthetic Genomics (if I understand this article correctly): the ability to make synthetic lifeforms by inserting digitally crafted DNA into an already existing lifeform to replace the original genetic structure with a created one. An example from the article: craft a synthetic genome of a woolly mammoth and insert it into an elephant egg cell after “deleting” the elephant DNA. Then… I guess… the elephant would birth a woolly mammoth instead of an elephant. They haven’t gone that far yet, but apparently scientists have created self-replicating cells using synthetic DNA, which makes this incredible feat of science fiction… possible. Wow. Talk about potential for both awesomeness and complete misuse.

It’s kinda terrifying to have children now because there’s no way I won’t look at my kid and be like, “Dang… I love you ’cause you’re mine, but  Kat’s baby was cuter.”

And in case you’re not totally convinced that there has never been nor never will be a more precious baby, check out my personal favorite:

The rest of us just need to give up and find other ways to celebrate babies, because all the cuteness has gone into making this one.

I work with the writers and producers constantly to try and tamper that violence down…I want to see more humor coming to television… I want to live long enough to see the appetite for comedy become greater than the appetite for violence.”
7. He still says “Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die,” at the end of his concerts (I know this… because I was at one and saw it and it was awesome.)
8. Have you heard him sing? Yeah… wow.
